The Department of Human Resources, located in the Town Manager's office, is responsible for planning, developing and administering human resources and labor relations, and for directing quality improvement programs, practices and activities for the town as well as employee training and development, safety and health, and recognition efforts.

Seasonal and Volunteer Positions
In addition to the jobs posted above, the town supplements its workforce with seasonal employees. The Parks and Recreation Department, which includes the Nature Center, employs seasonal, part-time employees year 'round. The Division of Physical Services hires seasonal temporary workers in the summer, during fall leaf collection and for winter snow removal.
Opportunities for Wethersfield youth include community service projects for those who are interested in or required to perform community service.
