Economic Development Department

Develops resources to promote town businesses as well as the historic and cultural assets that make it an attractive location to live, work and play. 

  • Supports the Economic Development & Improvement Commission (EDIC) and Redevelopment Agency (RDA)
  • Supports the Wethersfield Tourism and Cultural Commission to promote and strengthen the user experience, enhance tourism, and support all fields of culture and the arts.  
  • Works to retain and expand existing business, attract new businesses, and encourage development of underutilized properties.
