Public Education / Fire Prevention
The Fire Marshal's office and the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department provide public education on fire prevention throughout the town. Talks and demonstrations on keeping you, your families or your employees safe from fires and other emergencies are a big part of our program. Activities are conducted at schools, senior housing complexes, day care centers, office buildings, health care facilities and town events. The Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department has a Fire Safety Trailer which is used to teach people what to do if they are caught in a fire. For children, tours of one of the three town fire stations can be arranged.
