Nature Camp & Bears Camp
Nature Camp is designed for 4-year-old Pre K through Grade 4 in spring. Bears Camp is for Campers in Grades 5 and 6 in Spring. Mornings consist of lessons and activities that reflect the week's theme. Swimming, recreational games and outdoor exploration take place in the afternoon. Swim lesson levels preschool to 6 are offered for Nature campers on a first-come, first-served basis during selected two-week sessions (must be registered for both weeks of camp in order to be eligible). Bears Camp for grades 5 and 6 offers a weekly field trip to a nature / outdoor-related destination. (Bears Campers are not eligible for the swim lessons)
Each class is led by an educator and an assistant counselor.
(Minimum of 1:10 ratio) supported by volunteers, lifeguards and staff certified in first aid.
Open House
Open house for campers and parents will be hosted at the Nature Center on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Please RSVP to the Nature Center by email or call 860-721-2780. This is a parents' opportunity to tour the facility, meet counselors and ask questions. Stop by any time between 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
