Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of in person programs, due to inclement weather, will be announced on the Parks & Recreation info line at (860) 721-2890 and on the Parks & Recreation Facebook Page @ParksRecWethersfield.

If Wethersfield schools close, all programs beginning 6:30 am - 4:30 pm are cancelled.  All fitness programs will switch to virtual classes.

If Wethersfield schools open late, in person programs beginning before 10:00 am are cancelled.  All fitness programs will switch to virtual classes.

If Wethersfield schools close early, all afternoon programs are cancelled.

Evening cancellations will be announced by 4:00 pm.

Weekend cancellations will be announced by 8:00 am on the info line at (860) 721-2890 and WNBC -30.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel programs and issue refunds due to insufficient registrants or causes beyond its control. Refunds will be automatic if a session is cancelled.

Refund Policy (revised April 2021):

All refund requests for withdrawal from a program must be made in writing and sent to: rec.activities@wethersfieldct.gov

A full refund, less a $10 processing fee per program, will be given if withdrawal is requested two weeks prior to the start of the program

A 50% refund, less a $10 processing fee per program, will be given if withdrawal is requested one week prior to the start of the program.

Refunds will NOT be granted less than one week prior to the program start date.
