Community Programs (on a limited basis)

Outreach Programs

If you cannot come to the EBW Nature Center, we can come to you!  Outreach programs give students and/or adults the opportunity to visit with some of the animals that live at the Nature Center as well as experience nature through activities provided by staff.  A variety of programs (including live animals) can be presented at your school/organization.  Cost for an hour long program off-site is $75.  For more information and to request a program please contact the Nature Center at (860) 721-2780.

Scout Badge Programs

Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops may schedule badge programs after school or on weekends that are seasonally and age appropriate (insects, flowers, forestry, animal care, etc.)  Programs are subject to availability and run 1-1.5 hours in length. School Field Trips

Consider the Nature Center for your next field trip.  We can design programs that align with the current state science standards.  From living vs non-living to adaptation to plants we can provide hands-on and educational learning experiences.
