Plan Reviews

Per Connecticut General Statute, the Fire Marshal shall review and approve plans for compliance with the Connecticut Fire Safety Code and The Connecticut Fire Prevention Code prior to issuance of any building permit by the Building Official. The following are the types of plans that require approval by the Fire Marshal.

• New commercial buildings
• Renovations or additions to commercial buildings
• Water mains and Fire hydrants
• Fire suppression systems
• Fire alarm systems
• Storage of hazardous materials
• Subdivisions and new construction for fire department access
