Slipaway River Charters and Tours

Every Thursday from 3-6pm on the Solomon Welles House lawn come for the Wethersfield Farmers’ Market 12th season. Visit the many vendors generously spaced out for safety, music, food trucks, and more!

Portrait Drawing from a Photo

In a 6 week session work from a photo reference of your making, learn to draw the image to perfection using the sight-size method. More info!

Fundamentals of Oil Painting

In this 6 week session learn to paint realistically with the oil paint medium. Mix accurate values and colors and create a realistic sense of dimensional form by studying different techniques from the Renaissance to the 19th Century. More info!

September 11, 9:00am - 3:30pm

Textures and Special Effects in Oil Painting

In a online lecture learn layering concepts to achieve different textures such as brick, old wood, fur, metal and more. Students also receive a selection of files and links for future reference. More info!

September 19- 22, 9:30am - 4:30pm

The Tonalist Landscape in Oils

Paint a poetic landscape which favors nature’s transitional moments by learning how to use tonal contrasts and translate value relationships into color relationships to produce a painting that emanates light and organic correctness. More info!

2020 Juried Art Competition & Show

Art exhibition is at Circa on Main, 225 Main Street September 30th to October 11th (except Mon. & Tues.). Masks are required with a max 10 people allowed at a time. Show Opening: September 30, 6:00-7:30 pm. More info!
