History Day for the Families/Heritage Weekend
Revolutionary War re-enactors and horses from the Second Continental Light Dragoons, Sheldon's Horse (founded in Wethersfield in 1776) and Doughty's Artillery will be encamped at the Keeney Center. They will participate in the Town's time-honored Memorial Day Parade at 9 a.m. and then return to the grounds of the Keeney Center with demonstrations and the firing of the canon. The Wethersfield Museum at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, the Cove Warehouse Maritime Museum and the Hurlbut-Dunham House next to the Keeney Center will be open for free tours. Also, look out for a Revolutionary War Encampment across the street at the Webb-Deane-Stevnes Museum along with local shop, restaurants, and businesses having special offers. Most of the events take place on the last Saturday of the month with a few on that Sunday.
