The Spell of Alcohol

Witches, women, and the curious history of brewing in Wethersfield and beyond with Stephen Olbrys Gencarella. Admission is $10, free to current members of Wethersfield Historical Society. More info!

Youth Drawing & Painting

For ages 7 and older. This ongoing, popular course teaches young masters the fundamentals of drawing, composition and painting. More info!

March 4th - March 25th

Live Model Open Sketch

On Mondays and every other Wednesday. $15 for members of the public, free for Academy drawing students. More info!

March 4th, 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Bargue Drawing for Youth

This six week, two hour (student choice) class, designed for youth 12-19 years old, teaches Charles Bargue’s time-honored method of drawing. More info!

March 5th, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Figure Drawing 

Students learn the patient approach of putting down lines, stepping back, and learning by observing. Students will work with simple forms and shadow map, as a believable figure is achieved. More info!

March 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th & 28th, 10:00am - 12:00pm

The Art of Parenting

This is a FREE and flexible experience designed to meet the unique needs of new parents. Limited to 10 parents with children who are 18 months and younger. Children are welcome at every session. More info!

March 6th, 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Oil Painting for Youth

Six week session for youth ages 10-19. Students learn to paint realistically with oil paint, working at their own learning pace. More info!

March 7th, 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Drawing Fundamentals 2

In this six week session students will learn to draw objects from life with a focus on block-in/basic light and shadow elements. More info

Heirloom Poetry Society 

Join Heirloom Market every first Thursday for a Poetry Open Mic Night! Bring your own poetry or works from your favorite poets. You can read, or just watch and listen. Everyone is welcome. More info!
